About Hannah

Hannah Varadi lives in Indianapolis, where she works as a trilingual translator and interpreter and a language project manager. She is an ATA Voting Member working towards certification in the Spanish to English language pair. She has a passion for using languages and cultures to bridge boundaries in her community.

Hannah graduated from the Indianapolis Lawrence Township K-12 Spanish Immersion program as a fully bilingual speaker of English and Spanish. She went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Comparative Literature with a concentration in literary translation from Oberlin College. She also spent six months studying at universities in Spain and France, honing her language skills and cultural knowledge.

Hannah has worked in the translation and interpretation fields for over a decade: from interpreting at medical appointments in doctor’s offices and asylum hearings in immigration court, to translating birth certificates and academic transcripts, to transcreating marketing and literary materials.

When not at her desk, Hannah loves to travel, hike through Indiana’s state parks, and curl up with a good novel next to Marvin, her gregarious orange tabby.
